I write and self-publish because I believe the strongest credential for writing comes from life experiences. That people aren't born with "little books of instruction" they write them.
Being qualified by experience I have written extensively about my life and the adversities I've overcome. My degrees come from living not institutions. By example: Widowhood is derived from a death certificate. Christianity is a pesonal belief not a confirmation of church doctrine or ministerial sermons. The 98% publication rejection rate as alluded to by agents and editors is reflective of their loss of contact with the general public interest. Appreciation for Asperger's is in the rearing of an autistic child, wherein the parent adapts to the child, not vice versa, as in being "normal."
